Glòries Shopping Centre equipped its 2,400-bay car park with camera-based guidance, LPR access control and per-bay video surveillance as part of the mall’s complete urban redevelopment.
Glòries Shopping Center — 130 establishments across more than 65,000 m² — is one of Barcelona’s most important leisure spaces. As part of a major remodeling project, the centre wanted parking fully integrated into the urban fabric: welcoming, easily accessible and secure, managing 2,400 bays globally and efficiently while causing minimal inconvenience to the thousands of customers who visit every year.
After studying the project, Quercus Technologies installed 502 SC Indoor ID camera-based sensors — units surveying four bays or two — combining parking guidance with colored lights, license plate recognition and motion-triggered video surveillance in every bay. Every event is linked to a plate number and easily retrieved in BirdWatch. SmartLPR Access equipment manages entrances and exits, CCTV cameras record the state of vehicles going in and out, and 82 dynamic panels — on ramps, floors and every aisle — keep customers informed of availability in real time.
