Gold Award Smart LPR Access Camera

The Smart LPR Access camera has won a IDA Gold Award in Cameras, Video Cameras and Equipment from Media And Home Electronics category. The product has been designed by Carrasco Barceló Design Studio in collaboration with Plumartis engineering company. 

The IDA’s Product Design of the Year Award recognises the efforts of talented designers and design teams who aim to improve our daily lives with practical and beautiful creations, designed to solve a problem, make life easier or simply spread joy.

The LPR camera is designed for easy integration into third-party systems, like those of parking operators or parking management systems. The vehicle plate recognition software in the cameras enables the customer to analyze the data gathered, and make strategic decisions that will help them to continue improving and optimizing their parking system.

License plate recognition is a key part of parking systems designed for comprehensive control of the vehicles inside private parking facilities. Identifying the digits and letters that link a vehicle with a stay, a price or special availability is essential for smart parking, and for an optimal parking facility user experience.
