Vehicle detection sensors installed in Uruguay

A comprehensive guided parking solution by Quercus Technologies now enables management of 428 parking spaces in the La Española car park in Montevideo, Uruguay. This guided parking system was installed with the goals of guaranteeing effective parking facility management with centralized information, increasing security of the facilities, achieving the highest degree of control over them, and ensuring more fluid mobility and an optimal level of user satisfaction. The parking guidance system provided in Montevideo

With the target of increasing security of this parking facility, a total of 160 SC Indoor parking sensors have been installed inside the parking garage. These parking sensors enable license plate recognition in La Española’s parking spaces, and a video surveillance system that covers each of them. This contributes to a higher level of vehicle monitoring and guarantees the total security of every parking space. The sensors for vehicle detection not only report the availability of parking spaces, they also provide the information necessary to know the type of spaces identified as available, whether they be for individuals with reduced mobility or other types of parking spaces. 

For outdoor parking lots, the LPR Area component is the ideal add-on to the guidance system. With it, users’ vehicles are located and conveniently guided to outdoor areas where there are available parking spaces. The four SmartLPR Access license plate recognition cameras installed in the parking facility read the license plates of vehicles entering and leaving the outdoor areas. This way, the system knows exactly how many vehicles are in the area, and if there is any available parking.

Drivers can forget where they parked their vehicle several hours ago. Why? Because the parking solution features a tool that allows users to quickly and easily locate the parking space where their vehicle is parked. This feature, called “Find your car”, is provided by Quercus Technologies as part of the parking solution that the company offers.

Thanks to the BirdWatch parking management software, operators and users can pinpoint the location of any vehicle inside the parking facility, simply by introducing its license number. This parking facility guidance system contributes to a better user experience, bringing the highest level of security to each of the parking spaces.
